About this website
This is the private family website of the Yangmali Pachha, Bantawa Rai family. It keeps our family tree, stories, photos and traditions safe for the generations to come.
Our family history
Our family history comes from the memories of our elders and from family records. Some names, dates or details may be incomplete or not quite right. If you notice a mistake, or know something we have missed, please tell us through the Contact page – we will gladly correct it.
Customs and traditions
Rai customs differ from village to village and from family to family. The Traditions pages describe our family’s way and what we have learned from elders and published research. They are not the only right way, and they are not religious or professional advice.
Photos and stories
The photos and stories on this website belong to the family members who shared them. Please do not copy, share or post them anywhere else without asking the family first.
Your privacy
- The family pages are locked with a family password, and photos are only shown to the family.
- Phone numbers, emails and addresses are kept for the family admin only and are never shown on the website.
- Only the month and year of birth are shown, never the day.
- For safety, each opening of the family pages is noted (time, device and rough location) and deleted after a few months.
- The website only uses the small cookies it needs to work: the family password and your choice of language. There is no advertising and no tracking.
- Anyone may ask for their details or photos to be changed or removed at any time – please use the Contact page.
This website is run by the family, for the family.
